At Heartland Estate, our mission is to help our youth become effective communicators, compassionate listeners, and responsible contributors to the community.

We believe every teenager has a voice, a unique talent, and a unique personality. Each and every person deserves to be liked, loved, and accepted by those around them.  We know with the proper life skills every youth can step into leadership positions even at a young age, allowing them to be the influencer of their inner circle.  This all happens when they learn to respond instead of react which helps them to better control their environment; giving them clarity to set and achieve goals.

Future Leaders Of the World (FLOW) will explore real life experiences so our youth can better understand themselves and others.  Our unique approach for building soft skills includes exercises and concepts based upon Neuro Linguistic Programing and Gestalt Coaching

During each session, our youth will have a hands-on experiment for team building, along with group challenges to build communication skills.

Incorporating our core principles of honesty, integrity and excellence, our youth will learn how to  reconnect with themselves. One way they do this is by unplugging from all devices to allow a deeper appreciation of nature and animals.

FLOW (Future Leaders Of the World) began as a passion project from observing and evaluating the stressors our youth are presented with every day; things like social pressure, peer pressure, and threats in the schools. Over the years I’ve noticed they are becoming distant, less verbal, and overly dependent on those little devices they hold in their hands—their phone.  Many are awkward with social interaction and believe snapchat is a perfectly acceptable way to communicate;  it is less scary than talking face to face.

The overall intent of this program is to see the youth of today become effective communicators, compassionate listeners, and responsible contributors to the community.  Even more, it creates adults who influence with integrity, lead by example, and adapt with ease.

Since this generation will become future leaders, A Balanced Life For You has developed an innovative and vital program. FLOW addresses all the aforementioned, as well as skills to cope with stress, anxiety, bullying, etc. Furthermore, it offers tools and resources to strengthen selfconfidence, increase selfawareness, and build selfesteem.

Begining June 2020, FLOW will take shape in the form of a week long, daytime program where our youth will be supported in small groups as they build upon fundamental life skills.

What Are Soft Skills?

Soft skills are a combination of people skills, social skills, communication skills, character or personality traits, attitudes, career attributes, social intelligence and emotional intelligence quotients,

Soft skills are different from hard skills.  Hard skill are learned skills such as mathematics, plumbing and engineering. They are measurable and quantifiable. Hard skills are directly relevant to the job to which you are applying.

Regardless of what activity or job you are seeking,  you will need these soft skills to if you want to excel.

TIP:  Employers want employees who are able to interact effectively with others. These skills are also very hard to teach, so employers want to know that job candidates already have the soft skills to be successful.

Focused Soft Skills with FLOW

Three of the most requested soft skills employers look for when hiring will be addressed during the week of camp.

Communication:

Communication skills are important is almost every situation.  You will use this skill with family, friends, school, employers, etc.  You will also need to be a good listener.  This happens when you understand the difference between hearing and listening.

Leadership:

A good leader knows how to make clear, concise decisions without the emotional attachment. A stong leader leads with confidence.  A stong leader unsterstands how emotions can influence decisions and how to predict the potential outcome.

Teamwork:

Do you work well with others?

It doesn’t matter if you are working on a team project,  attending class or participating in activities, you need to be able to work effectively with the people around you; even if you do not always see eye to eye.

What to expect:

Each day we will have a variety of activities including games, building/creativity time, lunch, equine fundamental instruction (NO Riding), personal safety instruction, and more

In this video, Rhonda talks about how comparison can impact the quality of your life.

This is one of several videos Rhonda has made for a private youth group; Our Next Generation.

Meet Rhonda:

Hi!  My name is Rhonda Cimorelli, and I am the Founding CEO of A Balanced Life For You.  “Thank You” for checking out our newest program , FLOW, which has been created for our youth—your child(ren).

I am a mother of four, of which three out of four have become confident, selfassured, respectful, responsible, and independent adults. The fourth child is in high school and on a successful track.

I am a skilled NLP Practitioner, an Accredited Life Coach, and a Personal Development Trainer.

NLP is a lot like having a user’s manual for your mind.  It helps you understand why you do what you do (or don’t do) and how to make positive, sustainable changes in your life.

Life Coaching is implementing honed listening skills and knowing how to ask the right questions to help you become aware of limiting thoughts, beliefs, actions, and habits.

As a Trainer, I use accelerated learning techniques to help you access and retain information quickly and easily.

I enjoy horses and the great outdoors and I’ve owned and cared for our horses for over 20 years.  There is something magical that happens when you hang out with a horse.

Meet Lisa:

When I try to pin point where my journey to Trotting Forward began I realize that there is always a time that precedes that point in my life.  One piece of life cannot happen without something happening before it. Like a bunny trail each decision you make leads you down a different path.  A simple event can change your entire future.

What I did realize is that I would not be the person I am today without all of those life experiences.  All of the good and bad things that I have been through make me who I am.  That if I had made just one different decision or taken one step in another direction I may not be here in this space now.

The one constant that has remained the same is that there has always been a special horse in my life.  Shaad shared 26 years of his life with me and before him there was Roy Roger’s Trigger or Gene Autry’s Champion among others.

It was the horses that led me to find Melisa Pearce and the Touched By A Horse Certification Program (TM) and be certified as an EGCM Practitioner.  My desire to become a Life Coach is a direct result of finding myself through this program.

It has always been my desire to share the way of the horse with others– first as a riding instructor, then an equine veterinary technician and now as an Equine Gestalt Coach.
